ila26 Real Estate — Marketplace & Networking
End-to-end design of a dual-platform real estate ecosystem — a professional web and mobile platform for agents, developers, and service providers, and a separate consumer app for property seekers — built on a shared database that lets professionals reach two audiences from a single listing.

Problem :
ila26 Real Estate is a professional networking and marketplace platform built for the UAE real estate market. It brings together agents, developers, investors, property managers, landlords, and service providers in one ecosystem — giving each role the specific tools they need to operate, connect, and close deals.
The platform is built around a simple but powerful idea: professionals post their listings once, and those listings are automatically published on two channels — the ila26 professional platform, where other professionals can discover and collaborate, and a separate consumer-facing app where regular property seekers browse for homes to rent or buy. One action, two audiences, more conversion opportunities.

The Challenge :
Real estate is a high-trust, relationship-driven market. The platform had to serve multiple professional roles simultaneously — each with different needs, different workflows, and different expectations — while still feeling like one coherent product. An agent's experience had to feel completely different from a developer's, which had to feel different from a service provider's, without fragmenting into separate products.
At the same time, trust had to be built into the system itself. Professionals needed to know who they were dealing with before connecting or booking. The badge system — five levels from Not Verified through to Master Agent — was a direct design response to this, making credibility visible at a glance across every surface of the platform.

What I Designed:
Marketplace: The core of the platform, split into three tabs: Properties, New Projects, and Service Booking. Properties supports map/list/mixed view with advanced filtering, saved searches with notifications, favourites, and direct agent contact via message or tour booking. New Projects lets developers like Emaar post off-plan projects with payment plans, construction progress, and brochure downloads. Service Booking brings real estate services — photography, copywriting, virtual tours, digital marketing — into the same marketplace, letting professionals discover and hire service providers the same way buyers discover properties.
Professionals: A dedicated directory for finding agents and agencies, searchable by location, service, language, nationality, and badge level. Each professional profile shows their listings, reviews, about section, and contact details — everything needed to evaluate and reach out without leaving the platform.
Dashboard: The listing management hub for professionals. Agents manage their active listings, track views and upcoming bookings, and handle tour applicants — approving, rejecting, or rescheduling directly from the dashboard. Analytics give visibility into listing performance over time.
Network: The professional networking layer. Connections, connection requests with profile preview, suggestions, and partner companies. The feed on the home page surfaces posts, property listings, and activity from the user's network — keeping professionals informed and engaged beyond just transactional use.
Badge System: Five progression levels (Not Verified → Certified Agent → Trusted Agent → Super Agent → Master Agent) earned through platform activity. Badges appear on every agent card, profile, and connection request — building trust passively across every interaction.
The Dual-Channel System: The most architecturally unique part of the project. Professionals on ila26 post their listings once — that data is automatically published to two separate products simultaneously. The first is the ila26 professional platform, where other professionals, investors, and co-agents can discover the listing. The second is a dedicated consumer mobile app, designed specifically for regular people looking to rent or buy a property, with a simpler interface, WhatsApp-first contact, and real estate tools like a Rent vs. Buy Calculator and Home Value Estimator.
This meant designing two distinct experiences from the same data source — one built around professional workflows and B2B trust signals, the other built around simplicity and consumer-grade clarity — while keeping the listing quality and accuracy consistent across both.
Reflection :
This was the most complex and rewarding product I worked on at ila26. Designing for multiple professional roles simultaneously — with different mental models, different goals, and different trust requirements — pushed me to think systemically rather than screen by screen. The dual-channel concept forced me to make the same content work for two fundamentally different audiences, which is a design problem I hadn't faced at that scale before. The result is a platform where professionals can operate their entire real estate business — networking, listing, booking, and managing clients — without leaving the app.
